Patrick Bamford names the four teammates vying for Leeds United's Player of the Year award

With no football to keep Leeds United fans occupied, supporters have been discussing the possible candidates for the club's Player of the Year award.

The Whites sit top of the Championship table following 37 games that has drawn high-level performances from every single player.

There have been those that have stood out, however, with their consistency across the gruelling Championship campaign.

Patrick Bamford is privileged to see his teammates work day in, day out.

With the debate raging online over Leeds' POTY, Bamford has thrown his suggestions into the ring, highlighting four teammates he believes should be in contention for the award.

"For me, I reckon I'd say there are four players. Stuart (Dallas) last year he wasn't really a mainstay in the team, he was in and out because he is so versatile he kept switching positions," Bamford said.

"This year, he's made left-back his own position and he also slotted in centre midfield which if you asked him, he'd say he never thought he'd ever play there. Ben (White) was an unknown quantity. I certainly didn't know about him before he came.

"He's going to be very good as well. Kalvin, everyone knew about him, he's Mr Reliable. Sometimes I think he can fly into the odd crunching tackle which I'm sure the fans love but for 99% of the game, he gives an eight out of 10 performance.

"Alongside them, I would say Jack Harrison. Look at him last year to this year, you could see he had the quality with the odd bits and bobs and had the potential. This year, he looks like a different player for me.

"He's confident, he's having more of an end result, more reliable for what will come. It will either be a good cross or a shot. Last year that wasn't the case. I think he's up there as well."
