Patrick Bamford is becoming a 'massive problem' for Leeds United says TalkSPORT's Adrian Durham

Leeds United striker Patrick Bamford has been accused of being a’ massive problem’ for the Whites and their Premier League promotion ambitions.

This is the view of controversial TalkSPORT host Adrian Durham who made the claim on his drivetime show.

While discussing Leeds United’s recent form he suggested a lack of goals from Bamford, 26, might see Marcelo Bielsa’s side fall short.

The presenter said: “Leeds United lost at home to Sheffield Wednesday. They couldn’t score, Patrick Bamford is becoming a massive problem for them, in terms of his finishing.

“They drew at West Brom, had an incredible win against Birmingham and then didn’t win in three before that. It looks like neither (Leeds or West Brom) want to go up. In the meantime, Brentford just keep on winning.”

Former Chelsea striker Bamford has scored 10 league goals this season and sits ninth in the Championship top scorer chart. He has regularly been praised for his role in Leeds United’s build up play.

Durham’s co-host Darren Bent has warned Leeds they face a possible repeat of last season where they fell away towards the end of the campaign.

“This happened to Leeds last season. They were flying and then they fell away,” the former Spurs striker said.

“They have to be aware this could happen again.”

Leeds United currently sit 2nd in the Championship table one point behind leaders West Brom.
