Patrick Bamford has been backed to continue his good form for Leeds United.
The striker has started the Premier League season on fire, netting three in Leeds' first three matches.
Bamford struggled at times in the Championship for the Whites, scoring an average of one in three chances that came his way.
Yet Carlton Cole believes the 27-year-old is coming into his own in the Premier League.
Speaking to talkSPORT, Cole revealed he recognised Bamford's potential when he saw the player as a youngster in Chelsea's youth set-up.
The 36-year-old says, therefore, it comes as no surprise to see him doing well for Leeds in the Premier League.
Cole said: "He's doing really well, he's another Chelsea graduate so I've got a lot of time for Patrick.
"He's gone around the houses as well, he's had a few clubs and he's actually done really, really well.
"He's coming into his own.
"All that potential I saw in him when he was younger, now people are starting to recognise.
"How old is he now? He's 27 so he's actually getting to the point where he's starting to come into his own.
"Now you're going to see a great striker."
Bamford became the first Leeds striker to score in the opening three top-flight games of the season for over 50 years when he netted the winner against Sheffield United.
Next up, Bamford will be looking to make it four games in a row when Leeds host Manchester City on Saturday.
