Patricia: ‘I love our fanbase, I love their passion’ after tough loss in Green Bay

It’s been a tough few days to be a Detroit Lions fan. After not playing for two weeks, the Lions got gut-punched by poor officiating and missed opportunities in a heart-wrenching loss to the Green Bay Packers on Monday night.

Coach Matt Patricia knows it, and he understands. On Wednesday, he showed his gratitude to the loyal fans and the strength of the city of Detroit and the state of Michigan.

“I love our fanbase. I love their passion. I love all of it,” Patricia said.

“I appreciate it more than you know, and I just want the fans to know that we’re going to work to get things right, to do things the right way. We’re tough. We’re built tough. We’re blue-collar, just like this city and just like this state.

We’ll continue to be tough. In the end, toughness will prevail.”

Thanks, coach!
