The family of murdered Patricia Henry pleaded with her killer to 'do the decent thing' and 'tell them where Patti is' so they can 'grieve in peace'.
George Metcalff, 71, was today convicted of murdering Patricia, 46, known as Patti, at her flat in Girvan, South Ayrshire, on November 13, 2017.
Prosecutors claimed Metcalff, known as Kenny, attacked Patti by "means unknown."
Her body has never been discovered despite extensive searches in the Girvan area.
Metcalff faces a life sentence after he was found guilty of murdering, raping, physically and indecently assaulting Patti after a 10 day trial at the High Court in Glasgow.
Following the judegment, Patti's somber family gave a powerful statement outside the High Court in Glasgow.

A family representative, who read out the full statement, said evil Metcalllf will 'no longer be able to hurt anyone'
She said: "Following the conviction at the High Court in Glasgow of George Kenneth Metcallf we want to say to him, please tell us where Patti is.
"Give us the peace you took away from her.
"Let us put her to rest and let us mourn for her.
"Her daughter, Alana, says she needs somewhere to visit and remember her mum."
The spokesperson hailed Patti as 'much-loved' and someone who would 'literally do anything for anyone'.
"Patti was a much-loved mum to only child, Alana," she added.

"She was a daughter of Ann and Jim, sister of Stephen, a niece, aunt, cousin and friend to many.
"Patti would literally do anything for anyone and we all love and miss her."
They proceeded to thank detectives, family liaison officers and all other police officers who worked to trace Patti's evil killer.
Friends, family and members of the local community were also thanked for their unwavering support.
And special thanks was given to Prosecutor Alex Prentice QC for 'delivering Justice for Patti'.
Struggling to hold things together, the spokesperson directly appealed to monster Metcalfe as the family desperately want to 'begin to grieve in peace'.
She said: "George Metcalfe will no longer be able to hurt anyone.
"He took Patti away from those who loved her.
"And now we appeal to him to do the decent thing and give her back and let her family begin to grieve in peace, thank you."
Metcalff made several trips to Patti's flat following her murder including in a hired van apparently to collect a mattress and bed frame late at night.

He also ceased constant phone contact with Patti after her murder date despite the pair making 143 calls that month.
The dad was also convicted of attempting to defeat the ends of justice as well as raping and physically assaulting two other women between 1971 and 2004.
There were shouts of: "Yes" and crying from the public gallery as the jury delivered its verdict.
Metcalff was remanded in custody pending background reports for sentencing next month.
Judge Lord Armstrong said Metcalff was convicted of a "series of the utmost offences" before putting him on the sex offenders register.
Jurors heard Patti first met Metcalff, former assistant manager tyre specialist, in 2008 when she moved into the flat above his in Burnfoot Crescent, Paisley.
Patti went on an extended holiday to Gran Canaria before returning to the area when they began constant contact.
Metcalff became the guarantor for her new flat in Girvan in October 2017 and paid her deposit as well as her first month's rent totalling £700.
