Patrice Evra issues apology to former Man City player Joleon Lescott after hairline comment

Former Manchester United player Patrice Evra has issued an apology to Joleon Lescott after making a hairline comment.

Evra posted a parody video on Saturday afternoon to his social media, which he still hasn't deleted, which he's called 'Pat TV' and the former United left-back pretends to be a news reporter discussing this summer's European Championship.

In the bizarre two minute sketch, Evra talks about Amsterdam, where Saturday's Round of 16 game between Denmark and Wales took place and he claims the Dutch city is 'where people like to get as high as Joleon Lescott's forehead'.

The Frenchman has now issued an apology to Lescott for that distasteful joke, though.

"I have to apologise to Joleon Lescott and his family, the joke was never meant to cause hurt it was only meant as light-hearted banter, had I known then what I know now, I would have never (sic) of said this," Evra wrote.

"Jo I hope you can accept my apology."

Former Manchester City player Lescott has previously talked about how he sustained a serious head injury when he was just five years old after being hit by a car, which caused the scar on his forehead.

Lescott is yet to respond to Evra's comments.
