Patrice Evra is no stranger to a peculiar Instagram update, but the former Manchester United defender may have gone too far this time.
In a video posted on Wednesday afternoon to his five million Instagram followers, the former France international filmed himself kissing and caressing what appears to be a raw turkey.
His reasoning? Why because it is Thanksgiving tomorrow.
He wrote: "I know it’s tomorrow but for mister #ilovethisgame it’s #thanksgiving everyday #happythanksgivng everyone #positive4evra #crazy."
Evra’s unique take on preparing a Sunday roast unsurprisingly attracted its fair share of bewildered comments on social media, including one from Formula 1 champion Lewis Hamilton.
"Not gonna lie, this is weird," Hamilton commented.
Sensing his video had confused and horrified just about everyone, Evra followed up his initial post with an explanation of sorts on his Instagram story.
"Guys, enjoy your lives - stop being boring. And to all the vegan people, I don't say anything when you are eating all the grass in my garden!"
That clears that up then.
