Patna zoo, Eco Park to remain shut for PM Narendra Modi's visit tomorrow

PATNA: Elaborate security arrangements have been made in view of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to the state capital to attend and address the closing ceremony of the centenary celebrations of the Bihar Legislative Assembly on July 12.

PM Modi will inaugurate the Shatabdi Smriti Stambh, which has been built to commemorate 100 years of Bihar Vidhan Sabha. He will also lay the foundation stone of the Vidhan Sabha museum, which will house different galleries to demonstrate the history of democracy in Bihar and the evolution of the current civic structure, and a conference hall with a capacity to accommodate 250 persons. He will also lay the foundation stone of the Vidhan Sabha guest house on the occasion.

The Patna traffic police on Sunday issued a traffic plan to ensure smooth vehicular movement on July 12 from 4pm till the conclusion of the programme. As per the order, entry of vehicles will be prohibited from R-Block ROB. towards Hardinge Road, except emergency vehicles (like ambulance, fire and mortuary) and vehicles having passes or of special guests. All these vehicles can move westwards from Beerchand Patel Path to Bailey Road via IT-roundabout.

No vehicles will be allowed from Bhikhari Thakur bridge up to Hardinge Road. These vehicles will be diverted to Mithapur overbridge to travel towards Gardanibagh or Mithapur Sabzi Mandi.

All those travelling to Patna airport will have to go from Dumra TOP towards Riding Road. Besides traffic diversion, the Eco Park and Patna Zoo will remain shut for public on Tuesday.
