PATNA: The department of zoology, environmental science and management of Patna Women's College (PWC) jointly organised a programme with the theme 'Saving the tigers: pride of India' on the occasion of International Tiger Day on Friday.
The introductory speech was delivered by Shahla Yasmin. It was followed by an informative presentation about tigers by Syed Wahabuddin Nasir, Mohammad Shahbaz and Himali Raj. A slogan-writing competition for students was also organised in which Bindu Kumari got the first prize, Aditi Kumari emerged second and Samarth Nahar came up third. Consolation prize was given to Jahnvi.
