PATNA: Three persons, including a minor boy, were arrested on Sunday for robbing a youth of his car in Jakkanpur police station area on early Saturday morning, the police said.
The police have also recovered the stolen vehicle from the arrested persons and an SUV used in the crime.
The arrested accused have been identified as Mohit Kumar (19), son of Fekan Singh, and Roshan Singh (23), son of Sanjay Singh of Khusrupur. Three other miscreants, including the main accused involved in the incident, were absconding. The involvement of another person has also come to the notice of the police during their interrogation.
ASP Sadar, Sandeep Singh, said Rakesh Kumar of Parsa Bazar was robbed of his car by the armed miscreants at Sipara overbridge on April 16, when he was going home.
“The criminals also opened fire to spread panic. An FIR was lodged on behalf of the victim in the Jakkanpur police station. During the investigation, the police got important clues about the robbers. On this basis, they were arrested from Khusrupur with the stolen car,” he said.

The cause of the incident is said to be electric short-circuit.
According to the police, flames started rising from the ATM kiosk suddenly at around 1am. Soon, the flames reached the bank branch on the top floor. Local people gathered there and informed the Goraul police station about the fire.
SHO Sanjeev Kumar reached the spot along with the fire brigade and brought the fire under control.
Bank's AGM Sanjay Kumar Sinha and branch manager Vinay Kumar also reached Goraul from Muzaffarpur. The branch manager in his police complaint said Rs23 lakh kept in the ATM was burnt. “The case is being investigated from all angles,” he said.
