PATNA: The railways has cancelled 11 passenger trains and diverted the routes of others due to the mega power block being taken between Jamalpur and Bhagalpur stations falling under the Malda division of the Eastern Railway (ER) on Sunday. The railways will also carry out rail bridge maintenance and repair work between Nathnagar and Akbarnagar of the Malda division on Sunday.
According to the ER's CPRO Eklava Chakraborty, the Jaynagar-Bhagalpur (15553/15554), Bhagalpur-Muzaffarpur (13419/13420), Jamalpur-Bhagalpur (03405/03406, 03459/03460), Bhagalpur-Rampurhat (05408) and Jamalpur-Sahebganj (05415/05416) will be cancelled.
"The Kamahkaya-Delhi Brahamputra (15657/15658) will be diverted to Katihar-Barauni-Patna route while the Bhagalpur-Lokmanya Tilak (12335), Bhagalpur-Anand Vihar (12367) and Ajmer-Bhagalpur (13424) have been diverted to Banka-Jasidih-Kiul route," he said, adding that the Godda-Ranchi (18604) will run via Dumka-Jasidih and Gaya-Howrah (13024) will run via Kiul-Jhajha-Asansol route.
