PATNA: The Patna high court on Wednesday directed Sahara Group chief Subrato Roy to be present in the court on May 11. The high court had directed the Sahara company to furnish a categorical reply about the payment of matured deposits to at least its small investors. More than 600 interlocutory applications are pending in the court for the release of matured amount by the company.
The single bench of Justice Sandeep Kumar expressed displeasure over the attitude of Sahara in not responding to the needs of its small depositors. This matter will be next heard on May 11.
New service rules for civil court employees: In order to regulate the service conditions and appointment process of the employees of civil courts in Bihar, the state government has notified new Bihar civil courts officers and employees (appointment, transfer, promotion and other service conditions) Rules, 2022. It has created a new Bihar state civil courts establishment service cadre to define and regulate the administrative functioning of sub-divisional and civil courts in Bihar.
The high court administration has formed a centralised selection and appointment committee for direct appointments and promotions.
