As millions of people tuned in to watch Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s interview with Oprah Winfrey, many viewers couldn’t help but notice the patio chairs the group was sitting on, which sold out shortly after.

In the bombshell two-hour special, which first aired Sunday in the US, Winfrey and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex sat in a friend’s garden on wicker and acacia outdoor chairs, which were from the design collection of the former Brady Bunch star Christopher Knight, to discuss racism, parenting and their reasons for stepping back from the royal family.

By Tuesday, the chairs from the Christopher Knight Home Burchett collection, which retail for $554 a pair, had completely sold out online at retailers such as Amazon, Target and Overstock, according to Page Six.

The impact the interview had on the popularity of the patio chairs prompted a response from Knight, who played Peter Brady on the hit sitcom, with the actor writing a status on Facebook expressing his gratitude for the exposure.

“In Oprah’s sensational interview with Prince Harry and Meghan this week, who would have thought the furniture would have been noticed at all, but it was…and not even by me!” Knight wrote. “I am honoured to have the patio chairs from my collection become the seat of the most fascinating famous sit down in recent history.”

Knight then went on to joke that it would “appear Meghan and Prince Harry got ‘Knighted’ in a way never anticipated”.

“I am grateful to my talented business partners who have excellent taste, and skills in delivering a line of furniture that is both affordable and fit for royalty-both foreign and domestic,” the former actor wrote.

In a separate post shared by Christopher Knight Brands, the furniture company also confirmed that the chairs had sold out, but shared links for customers to check when they would be back in stock.

As for who the chairs, and garden, belong to, both Meghan and Winfrey revealed during the two-hour special that they weren’t filming the interview at either of their homes, but rather a friend’s. It was initially reported that the home belonged to Winfrey’s close friend Gayle King, however, the CBS This Morning host has since denied that it was her house featured in the interview.

While the chairs are still sold out online as of Thursday, viewers have continued to praise the collection online, with one person commenting: “Definitely noticed the chairs, LOVE them!” while another said: “That is so awesome!!! Long live Peter Brady!!!”
