'Patino masterclass!' - Arsenal fans love what Mikel Arteta has done for Nottingham Forest clash

Mikel Arteta has made a number of changes to his Arsenal side as they face Nottingham Forest away in the FA Cup third round.

The Spaniard has named a slightly rotated side for the clash, with the Gunners looking to book their place in the fourth round of the competition.

Arsenal currently hold the record for the most trophies won in the competition, lifting the cup 14 times, with the aim of making it 15 in the history books.

Arteta also has previous in the competition, guiding the Gunners to victory at Wembley in 2020, where Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s double was enough to sink London rivals Chelsea.

Last season did not go as planned though, with a fourth round loss to Southampton away from home.

In order to add another trophy to their cabinet, Arsenal will have to navigate their way past Championship side Nottingham Forest, who have impressed under new boss Steve Cooper.

Forest are also no strangers to cup upsets against the Gunners, with the East Midlands club winning in their last head-to-head at this stage of the competition in 2018.

Youngster Charlie Patino is given his full debut, starting in midfield alongside Albert Sambi Lokonga. Bernd Leno starts as the cup goalkeeper, whilst Nuno Tavares, Rob Holding, Ben White and Cedric Soares make up the back four.

Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli, Martin Odegaard and Eddie Nketiah all start as a strong front line for the Gunners, who may be taking few chances against the Championship outfit.

Arsenal fans were quick to take to social media to discuss their thoughts on the team that will take the field today.

@B4nkai: "PATINO BALL."

@AFCHamza7: "Saka and nelli needed a rest but we move."

@AfcJxmes: "Strong team, LETS GOOOOOOOOOOO."

@TheSASBurner: "Patino era begins."

@SemperFIArsenal: "Remember the name."

@MoAballa2407: "Patino masterclass."
