MUMBAI: After holding a marathon six-hour meeting on Thursday with eight members of the Apex Council - who had a day earlier written a requisition letter to him to call for an emergent meeting of the Apex Council to discuss and pass eight resolutions in the agenda listed by them - Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) president Vijay Patil did the needful.
After the meeting, Patil issued a notice for an emergent meeting of the Apex Council at 10am at the MCA facility in BKC on Friday.
Parkar replaces injured Dube
Meanwhile, allrounder Shivam Dube has opted out due to back spasms from Mumbai's Oman tour, and has been replaced by another allrounder, Akash Parkar. "He can't travel due to back spasms. This is just the start of the season, and it's important for us that he remains fit. Parkar is a decent bowler and clear the ball at will," Mumbai chief selector, former India pacer Salil Ankola told TOI.
