Newcastle United fans have delivered their verdict after Southampton called for January signings to be banned for playing in rescheduled Premier League matches.
In his pre-match press conference ahead of his side's trip to Swansea City in the FA Cup third round, Ralph Hasenhuttl admitted it isn't 'fair' that players are allowed to feature in games that were previously postponed.
This is all after Saints' clash with Newcastle was called off on Sunday, January 2 due to Covid-19 cases in the Magpies squad.
Eddie Howe's team have subsequently bolstered their ranks with the addition of Kieran Trippier from Atletico Madrid, while Aaron Ramsey, Sven Botman and Lucas Digne have been since linked with a move to Tyneside.
The game hasn't yet been rearranged, but Southampton are set to face Brentford this Tuesday in a match that was supposedly to take place back in December and neither side haven't made a signing this month.
Hasenhuttl's claim has caused some controversy on social media and the vast majority of the Mapgies faithful disagree with his comments, with one supporter insisting it is 'pathetic'.

@Graham121024 : Why would any manager embarrass himself with such a topic? Clearly the jealousy of a forgotten club that has been starved 14 years of no investment! The correct procedure followed as did other clubs due to safety. This man Clearly doubts his own club as they are not investing.
