'Pathetic!' - Liverpool fans fume over ex-Arsenal transfer chief's Luiz Suarez admission

Liverpool fans have blasted former Arsenal 'transfer fixer' Dick Law for his comments on the Gunners' bid for Luis Suarez six years ago.

The then-Reds striker was the subject of an infamous bid of £40 million and one pound by the North London side, which Reds owner John W Henry mocked on social media shortly afterwards.

Law has claimed in an interview that the bid was merely intended to be the start of negotiations and wasn't going to be the final figure the deal would have ended up at should Suarez have made the move to the Emirates Stadium.

Henry was branded 'disrespectful' by Law for his tweet at the time: "What do you think they're smoking over there at Emirates?"

This subsequently went viral and has since been used to mock Arsenal.

But Liverpool fans reckon the only party that showed disrespect during the Suarez to Arsenal saga was Law and his club for offering such an amount in the first place.

To make matters worse for Gunners fans, Suarez hit 31 Premier League goals the following season to help Liverpool to second place, five points clear of Arsenal in the League.

Here's the pick of the social media reaction from Liverpool fans.

Guy Needham: "Curious disrespectful it’s called business. The past reflects the future. He said no sell for 30 million more the next season and through Henry’s support we are European champions and arsenal couldn’t win the europa league. I see why this guy is the former transfer negotiator haha."
