A flagship Patagonia shop is opening in Bristol, in the unit formerly occupied by Levi's.
The California-based brand, which specialises in outdoor apparel, is due to open this month and will likely be popular with students at the nearby university.
Founded in 1973 as a company which made tools for climbers, Patagonia is now also popular for its clothing.
According to its website, it cares passionately about the environment and does all it can to prevent the climate crisis, donating its "time, services and at least 1 per cent of our sales to help hundreds of grassroots organisations all over the world so that they can remain vigilant, and protect what’s irreplaceable".
It goes on to say: "Staying true to our core values during forty-plus years in business has helped us create a company we're proud to run and work for.
"To stay in business for at least forty more, we must defend the place we all call home."
Although Patagonia products are stocked at a wide range of stores across the UK, this will be one of only a handful of standalone stores in the UK dedicated to the brand.
It will replace the former Levi's store, which closed in February last year following three break-ins.
The exact opening date of the new Patagonia store has not yet been announced, but it is expected to be sometime this month.
