Pat Spillane's son set to join Sligo Senior Footballers for 2022

Pat Spillane Jr is set to join the Sligo Senior Footballers, according to reports.

The Irish Independent are reporting that the son of the legendary Kerry forward and RTE pundit is set to represent the Yeats County.

Spillane burst onto the scene with Dublin club St Jude's as he played a vital role in the side reaching the Dublin Senior final last year.

According to the report, Spillane qualifies for Sligo through his mother and has not yet trained with the side but discussions have been on going.

The 24-year-old has not represented Kerry, but had a starring role for St Jude's in midfield as he kicked three points in their recent semi-final win.

Spillane was not involved as Sligo kickstarted the GAA season on Monday as they made history competing in the Connacht GAA indoor dome.

The dome will host the FBD League games for pre-season in 2022.
