Pat Spillane cracks social media up by mentioning Tinder on RTE's GAA coverage

Pat Spillane mentioning Tinder is not what many people were expecting when they sat down to watch the Ulster final on Saturday afternoon.

The pundit referenced the dating app prior to the meeting of Monaghan and Tyrone at Croke Park on RTE's coverage.

Speaking to Joanne Cantwell about Ulster football, Spillane said: “If Tinder was the Ulster championship I’d be definitely be swiping right.”

The comment took many GAA fans by surprise, with a number of them taking to social media to have a laugh about it.

Kerry councillor Jackie Healy-Rae tweeted: “If Tinder did provisional champions, I’d swipe right to Ulster”, another classic from Pat Spillane."

One person said: “'If Tinder was the Ulster championship I’d be definitely be swiping right' words I didn’t expect Pat Spillane to be saying."

Another commented: "If Tinder did match ups, I’d be swiping right!” Pat Spillane is on form already!"

Someone else added: "Pat Spillane; 'If Tinder did provincial championships, I'd be swiping right on Ulster!' Quote of the year."
