Pat McCormick murder probe investigators call in victim recovery dogs to help with search operation

Specialist victim recovery dogs are taking part in the search for suspected murder victim Pat McCormick today.

Police are conducting further operations in the Comber area as part of the ongoing investigation into the disappearance of the Saintfield man.

The father-of-four was last seen on CCTV going through an archway in the area of Comber just before 11pm on Thursday May 30.

Staff dogs assisted by the Community Search and Rescue Team will be involved in the operations throughout the course of the day and will incorporate the main routes in and out of Comber.

Yesterday, specialist underwater teams took to an area next to Castle Espie Wetlands outside Comber, Co Down , as part of the search for the 55-year-old.

Detectives carried out car stops in Comber on Thursday evening in the hope that a member of the public would have any information to help with the investigation.

Police said on Thursday that “significant new evidence” had come to light.
