Pat McAfee signs deal with WWE

Former Indianapolis Colts punter Pat McAfee had one of the best personalities in the NFL during his playing career, and he’ll be taking it with him to the WWE.

Unfortunately, McAfee won’t be wrestling. Even though that would be quite the spectacle, the former two-time Pro Bowl punter is joining the media team.

McAfee announced on Twitter that he will be joining the media side of the WWE, and he even gave a little highlight of his days in the ring before he played in the NFL.

“My dream my entire life has been to be in the WWE,” McAfee said in his announcement. “I signed with the WWE, multiyear deal, on a microphone, doing digital things. And however else I can help a company that helped me through a lot of years of my life.”

McAfee’s personality is entertaining to begin with, but he will add even more of reason to watch the WWE.

And who knows, maybe McAfee will one day make a special appearance in the ring, which would be awesome given his knack for celebrations.
