Pat McAfee Roasts Skip Bayless During Rowdy ESPYs Monologue

Pat McAfee was among the presenters at the 2023 ESPYs on Wednesday night, and he had plenty of jokes during his time on stage at the awards show in Los Angeles.

During his monologue, McAfee took the opportunity to have a laugh at the expense of Fox Sports personality Skip Bayless.

After shouting out Bills safety Damar Hamlin, who was in attendance, McAfee proceeded to roast Bayless for his insensitivity in regard to Hamlin’s cardiac arrest in Week 17 of the regular season.

After mimicking the Undisputed host, McAfee reminded the audience that Bayless has still yet to delete the controversial tweet he posted in the immediate aftermath of the incident.

McAfee’s wild monologue didn’t stop there, however.

In more of a personal jest, McAfee took a dig at former Packers quarterback Brett Favre, who previously attempted to sue him for defamation.

“We apologize, the sports world obviously isn’t perfect. Sue us. Don’t actually. Shout out, Brett Favre,” said McAfee. “That was for me. That was for me. And Shannon Sharpe. Shout out. Skip [Bayless] that one was for you, too.”

The fun didn’t stop there, as McAfee turned his sights toward Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce and the Chiefs. More specifically, wolf-mask wearing super-fan “ChiefsAholic,” who was arrested Monday in connection to a string of robberies

McAfee joked that the fan robbed the banks to fund his trips to Chiefs games, before encouraging Mahomes and Kelce to “think about the bank tellers” before they put on another “must-watch” performance.

“You might win the Walter Payton Man of the Year if you just decide to suck next year and not terrorize all these cities,” McAfee said to Mahomes.
