Pat Fenlon poised for Linfield exit to link up with former club

Pat Fenlon looks set to leave Linfield to take up a new director of football role with former club Bohemians.

Fenlon has been Linfield's general manager for the past four years but is set for a dramatic exit from Windsor Park ahead of the new League of Ireland season.

The 53-year-old - who was also being linked with a similar role at Cork City - will return to familiar surroundings having played for and managed Bohs.

Fenlon won the FAI Cup in 1992, and as manager he went on to win a league and FAI Cup double in 2008 and the league title in 2009.

He also lifted the Setanta Cup and EA Sports Cup with the Gypsies.

After leaving Bohs, Fenlon went on to manage Hibernian in Scotland and guided the Easter Road club to two Scottish Cup finals.

His last managerial job was at Shamrock Rovers.
