AGRA: In a blistering attack on the Samajwadi Party, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday said that it never gave respect to Gokul Singh Jat, who courageously challenged the tyranny of Mughal emperor Aurangzeb and refused to accept his misdeeds.
Addressing a ‘Prabhaavi Matdaata Samwad’ in Agra, Yogi said unlike the SP, the BJP knew how to respect those who made sacrifices for the nation. “We named the Agra Museum after Chhatrapati Shivaji,” he said.
Lashing out at the previous state governments under the SP and BSP, over a host of issues, including law and order, Yogi said, “The previous governments did not provide facilities to people, employment to youths, rights to daughters, and benefits of welfare schemes to the elderly, specially-abled and destitute women. Our government implemented and executed various reforms for welfare of all. ”
“Earlier, the safety of daughters was at stake. Now, goons, rioters and miscreants think 10 times before disrupting the state’s safety and harmony. The BJP respects faith while the SP only knows how to play with faith,” he remarked. Comparing the SP chief ’s family with the characters of the Mahabharata, Yogi said: “ Kaka , mama , nana , and bhatija (uncle, maternal uncle, maternal grandfather and nephew), you must have heard of them either in the Mahabharata or between 2012 and 2017 (SP’s regime). ”
“Before 2017, the recruitment charge in different departments was given to the family members – to uncles, brothers and nephews. They are the reincarnated characters of the Mahabharata who impeded UP’s progress by launching a war just like they did at the time of Mahabharata. Even today, their candidates’ list is full of criminals,” added Yogi.
Referring to Muzaffarnagar riots, he said: “The SP’s red cap is stained with the blood of innocent people. Whenever the SP got a chance, they threw the state into riots. They never cared for UP’s development. The SP and BSP did the work of tearing the social fabric apart. Our government implemented schemes for the poor. Today, every poor farmer is getting the benefits of schemes like PM Kisan Samman Nidhi. ”
He said the list of SP’s candidates has given a clear message that Akhilesh was not ready to leave “criminals, goons and rioters”.
