The eighth installment of an exhibition on the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics, as well as the 1964 Games also hosted by the capital, kicked off Friday at Haneda Airport in Ota Ward, Tokyo.

Titled "Mirai o Tsunagu Regashi Ten" (The legacy of connecting with the future), the event is being held at the Discovery Museum in the airport's Domestic Terminal 2. The Yomiuri Shimbun organized the exhibition as part of its "Genki, Nippon!" (Cheering for Japan!) project, with an eye on 2020 and beyond.

The exhibition features about 70 items, including Olympic medals and a torch used in the relay for the 1964 Tokyo Games, in addition to a bird's-eye view of the competition venues for the 2020 Games.

The free exhibition will run until June 24. It is open from 11 a.m. (10 a.m. on weekends and national holidays) to 6:30 p.m. Last admission is at 6 p.m.
