Passengers who 'overindulged' before flight at East Midlands Airport turned away

Two men who 'overindulged' before arriving at East Midlands Airport were sent home by police.

East Midlands Airport Police said the men 'overindulged' before their outbound flight on Friday morning (October 10).

The men were "denied boarding" even before passing through security, officers said.

And police said that, "after much repeat explaining", the men left the airport on a bus.

In a Tweet, East Midlands Airport Police said: "Earlier this morning two males who had 'overindulged' prior to arrival for their outbound flight were denied boarding even before passing through security.

"After much repeat explaining they eventually left the airport on a bus and not by air. #Severaltoomany #Pleasetravelsensibly."
