Passengers on a luxury cruise staged a furious protest as the ship missed key destinations - ending up in Belfast instead of Iceland.
A total of 2,000 tourists, including Brits, had paid £5,300 for a ticket on the Norwegian Spirit's two-week tour, Mirror Online reports.
But hundreds reportedly chanted 'Get us off this ship' and 'Take us back to London' following a series of changes to the schedule,
The ship left Southampton on September 27 and should have stopped at France, Amsterdam, Norway and Iceland.
However, Amsterdam was reportedly cut from the trip due to high winds, then Le Havre was skipped, before the vessel stopped at a quiet Norwegian town.
Next the passengers were meant to head to Reykjavik in Iceland, but that stop was cancelled and they began sailing for Greenock, near Glasgow, Mirror Online reports.
In a further snag, however, permission to dock in Greenock was denied, prompting the captain to change course for Belfast.
By this point, passengers had been on the ship for three days and some claimed to have been served stale food in the restaurants.
An angry demonstration was reportedly staged in the ship's grand atrium, with tourists chanting 'Shame on you', 'Get us off this ship' and 'We want refunds'.
'Nightmare of a holiday'
Deena Roland, 48, from Taunton, told Mail Online : "There are a lot of angry people on this ship and the lack of adequate explanation as to what’s going on almost caused a riot this morning.
"It’s been a nightmare of a holiday, and now many of the toilets in the cabins are overflowing with sewage.
"It’s really not my idea of a luxury cruise break."
On Monday, many passengers disembarked from the ship in Northern Ireland and returned to London on their own, according to The Mirror.
A Norwegian Cruise Line spokesman told the Mail Online: "Norwegian Spirit was forced to cancel her call to Greenock due to weather conditions as well as a delay caused by a departing Navy vessel that experienced a technical malfunction."
Passengers were reportedly refused refunds and instead offered discount vouchers allowing 25 per cent off other cruises.
The Norwegian Spirit offers 17 dining options, as well as bars, casinos, nightclubs and a theatre.
