Passengers of a car were left severely shaken after being the victims of an alleged hit and run in Drimnagh.
The scary incident happened on the Davitt Road in the Dublin 12 suburb at around 2.30pm on Monday.
The passengers of the car that was hit were taken to hospital but thankfully did not have any injuries.
The driver of the car that allegedly caused the hit and run then fled the scene, but it was later recovered by gardai.
In a post on a local page, the car that fled the scene was described as a Black 05 Honda Accord and an appeal was made for dash cam footage.
It said: "Today we were in a hit and run on Davitt Road, we are EXTREMELY LUCKY to be unharmed. The car was driven by a couple(I think).
"If anyone seen a Black 05 Honda accord in the area around 2.35-3.30pm that seemed suspicious or has a dash cam please let me know!!
"The police found the car shortly afterwards I'm not sure where I assume close enough and I don't know if it was the owners driving it.
"They came driving at speed over taking traffic from the Naas Road direction then down Davitt Road so you may remember this! Thanks to everyone who helped us at the scene also!"
A garda spokeswoman told Dublin Live: "Gardai in Sundrive Road attended a Road Traffic Collision between two cars on the Davitt Road, Drimnagh, Dublin 12 on Monday 19 August 2019 at approximately 14:30.
"One car failed to remain at the scene but was later recovered. Passengers of vehicle were taken to hospital as a precautionary measure, no injuries were reported and Investigations are ongoing."
