Passengers fume as flight attendants 'let child use seats as his own jungle gym'

Flights can be stressful at the best of times, but if there's someone on your plane that is particularly annoying, it can make for an even more painful journey.

From your seatmate using the armrest that they're not supposed to, to someone blasting music out of a child's iPad, or even a passenger a few rows away snoring their head off, there are things you can't control that are seriously irritating.

But what would you do if a child was running around the aisles of the plane, treating it like their own personal 'jungle gym'?

One furious passenger took to Reddit to share that there was a kid on their flight that was "running up and down the aisle and using the seats as his own personal jungle gym" and it's caused heated debate.

In a photo the disgruntled passenger shared, the child's feet can be seen above the back of the seat, which left people asking questions about what the parents were doing, and what were the flight attendants up to as the child wreaked havoc.

Others even shared their own horror stories about unruly children on planes.

One wrote: "I was on five-ish hour flight with a couple of friends years ago. One of my friends bought a meat and cheese plate. A kid, I'd guess about six or seven, in a seat in front of us tried reaching his foot through the crack in between the seats so he could drag the plate close enough that he could reach it with his hands and steal it.

"All his mum said was 'I guess you're hungry' and ordered him the same thing. No scolding the child, or apologising to us, or any acknowledgment beyond 'he's hungry'."

Someone else fumed: "That's f***ing disgusting. I don't know how people are so calm about kids doing things like this!"

"Your flight attendants should have put a stop to this. It is unsafe", another pointed out.

"It would just be terrible if that kid learned when there was some unexpected turbulence", a Redditor joked.
