Passenger taken ill on Glasgow-bound train as commuters warned to expect delays

Emergency services have been called to Greenock West railway station after a traveller took unwell.

The alarm was raised at around 4.45pm after a passenger on board a train fell ill on Friday afternoon, October 30.

Commuters heading to Glasgow were warned to expect delays to their services while the medical incident was dealt with.

ScotRail tweeted: “A passenger has taken ill on board a train at Greenock West.

"Services heading towards Glasgow will be delayed while emergency services attend.”

They later added: “The service involved has now left Greenock West but there will be some delays to following services heading from Gourock to Glasgow.”
