Passenger shocked as man pulls out ‘a full rack of ribs’ on flight beside her

Whether you are a fan of flying or not, who you’re surrounded by can make or break your flight experience. Crying babies, someone who takes their shoes off beside you, seat kickers, chatterboxes or the dreaded elbows digging into you by the passenger in the middle seat.

If you’re flying solo, you are really relying on the person you’re going to be put beside to have the perfect in-flight manners.

Ideally, you’ll be hoping and wishing that nobody sits beside you at all!

Unfortunately for one Scottish flyer, this was not the case.

Lanna Tolland from Glasgow was shocked when the person in the middle seat beside her pulled out a box of food seemingly from Frankie and Bennies, containing ribs and sides.

In a tweet which has since gone viral, Lanna said: “No chance is the guy next to me eating a full rack of ribs plus sides on this plane gtf.”

The tweet has been seen over 5.6m times and hundreds of people have commented on the post, with some of them sharing Lanna’s outrage.

“I don’t even like using my laptop on the plane in the middle seat,” Daniel Berman wrote.

“Bro nasty”, said Seb and Twitter user pricelessthekid said: “Full rib rack in the middle seat..nasty behaviour.”

Bob said “Imagine the smell,” while Jan replied to the tweet saying “nauseous.”

However, many have come out to praise the man for bringing his food on the flight with many branding him a ‘hero’.

“My absolute hero — if you don’t respect this power move, it says more about you than him,” said Mike Walsh.

Gale said, “I absolutely love this guy…” while Sabi said they “woulda asked for a bite.”

Twitter user Uncle Rico called it “King behaviour”, while snapboogielady said the situation was “Better than sitting next to a crying baby. I would have enjoyed the smell of the ribs.”
