Detectives in Paisley have launched a manhunt after a partygoer was stabbed several times in the early hours of this morning.
The 20-year-old man was seriously injured when violence broke out after a party in Dalskeith Avenue, in Ferguslie Park , around 1am.
The young man was rushed to the town's Royal Alexandra Hospital , where medics say his condition is serious but stable.
Officers probing the blade attack have appealed for witnesses.
Detective Inspector Ian Ross, from Paisley CID, said: “Our investigation is at an early stage, however I would appeal to anyone who saw or heard anything to come forward to police.
“The victim sustained a number of quite serious injuries in the incident and it is vital we identify whoever is responsible for causing them.”
