Party with loud music shut down while 'large event' dispersed during busy night for police in Greater Manchester

A party with loud music was shut down in Blackley while a large event was dispersed in Wigan during a busy night for police in Greater Manchester.

Officers posted about a number of incidents they were called to on social media last night as scores of people ignored rules on social distancing.

It comes as figures revealed that infections rates in all ten boroughs in the region are now at red alert level.

Most of the boroughs in the region are under tighter lockdown rules than the rest of the UK.

Three fines were then issued at an address in Farnworth, Bolton.

According to a GMP Facebook post, 'a number of people from different households were at the address before being issued an FPN each and asked to disperse'.

Officers then issued fines to people gathering at an address in Great Lever, Bolton.

Later, officers were called to Pollard Street East in Manchester, where they found 16 people from different households at a gathering.

Each person was handed a fine, according to a Facebook post.
