Parts of Ireland can see the International Space Station tonight

While most eyes will be on the Toy Show, skygazers will have another opportunity tonight to see the International Space Station (ISS) as it passes over Irish skies.

Tonight it will be visible between 6.01pm and 6.07pm.

At 6:01pm, the ISS should be high in the south of the country as it passes near Mars and then the Moon.

When the ISS is in front of Mars, viewers in Bunbeg, north Letterkenny, Dungiven, Ballymena, and south Larne will all have an opportunity to see it.

Those living from Newport, Mayo to Newry might be able to see the ISS as it passes in front of the Moon.

For those living in the south, the trajectory of the Starlinks should make it visible in the sky as it then heads towards Mars.

40 of them will be close together, until 6:14pm.

In terms of tonight's conditions, Met Eireann has said that it might be difficult to spot both of these occurrences.

They state that tonight will be cold but mostly dry at first with clear spells developing in the north and northwest. However, it will become less cold over the southern half of the country overnight as cloud gradually thickens from the south, bringing outbreaks of rain and drizzle. Some fog patches also, with the risk of some dense pockets.

Here's hoping that these conditions don't impact the view of skygazers.
