Partner of victim of serial sex offender says he is a 'dangerous, dangerous man'

The partner of one of the victims of depraved serial sex offender Slawomir Gierlowski has spoken for the first time saying the beast tried to strangle her and hit her about 15 times.

Polish roofer Gierlowski, 38, who is serving 28 and a half years for attacks on five women, has been described as “more dangerous than Larry Murphy,” by another of his victims.

Last week the dangerous predator, of Galtymore Road, Drimnagh in Dublin, was given another six years for attempting to strangle a young woman out walking in 2011.

He is now the prisoner with the longest prison sentence in the system.

Some of his attacks on women happened in broad daylight - and a judge noted he remained a serious threat to the safety of women because he does not accept the verdicts and does not acknowledge his predatory behaviour.

Now, the husband of one of his victims has spoken out for the first time saying he is a “dangerous, dangerous man.”

Keith told Joe Duffy’s Liveline on RTE Radio One that his wife was the second of the savage serial sex offender’s five victims.

He said his wife had only given birth to their baby 11 weeks prior to the attack which happened at 11.15am when his wife went for a walk.

“She went out for a walk in Ballymount Park (South Dublin) and 25 minutes later she rang screaming down the phone,” Keith said.

He said he left the baby locked in the house as he went to find his wife. “There were six or eight people around her while she was on all fours, covered in blood.”

He said Gierlowski was hiding in a cavity in the bushes in the park and waited until his wife passed by.

He then jumped out of the bushes and tried to attack his wife and strangle her with a flex.

“He tried to put the flex around her neck and tried to tie it. My wife ended up on her back on the ground. He tried to choke her with his hands and hit her about 15 times,” Keith said, describing the beast as being “a big man, six foot four and around 18 stone of pure athleticism.”

His wife suffered a fractured jaw, busted lips and busted eyes.

He said his wife didn’t sleep or eat for weeks after the attack and was so traumatised they ended up selling their home.

“We went through a trial but there wasn’t enough evidence to convict him,” Keith said, adding he attended court last week “to represent my wife” when Gierlowski was sentenced again.

“He didn’t bat an eyelid when he was sentenced,” Keith said, adding "this man's name should be as well known as Larry Murphy."
