East Kilbride have signed Partick Thistle midfielder Billy Owens on a season-long loan deal.
The 18-year-old will bolster Chris Aitken's squad for their Lowland League promotion bid and he is available for Kilby's trip to Berwick Rangers tomorrow.
Owens is highly-regarded at Firhill and he featured against the K-Park side in pre-season as he impressed Jags boss Ian McCall.
He said : “Billy was a player I wasn’t sure about sending out on loan as he could have a part to play here at Firhill over the coming months.
"His long term development, however, is the most important thing and I think that will be best served by heading out on loan to East Kilbride.
“We’ve managed to get all of our Modern Apprentices out on loan this season which is really encouraging.
"We’ve got them out to good clubs where they will work hard, improve as footballers and get much needed game time in competitive matches."
