Partick Thistle make cheeky Hearts swap offer as SPFL flag delivery goes spectacularly wrong

Partick Thistle unwrapped a special delivery from the SPFL this week - Hearts' 2020/21 Championship winners' flag.

And the Jags have cheekily exposed the unfortunate mishap on social media as they offered to trade for a red and yellow version.

There's clearly been a colour mix-up at Hampden as last season's League One champions were delivered a maroon flag commemorating the Tynecastle side winning the second tier.

Thistle issued a tongue in cheek plea on their official Twitter, asking Hearts if they'd be up for a swap.

A post on Friday morning said: "Hiya @JamTarts.

"The @spfl sent us a present yesterday but we think it might be for you. Hoping to trade it for a red and yellow version, can you help?"

Feeling from both clubs towards the SPFL has been decidedly frosty since the infamous end to the 2019/20 campaign.

Hearts were relegated from the Premiership and Thistle dumped out of the Championship following the vote to curtail the season due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
