Partick Thistle lift League One trophy and Neil Doncaster is nowhere to be seen as Jags stick to SPFL and SFA ban

Partick Thistle have been presented with the League One trophy but the SPFL and SFA chiefs were nowhere to be seen at Firhill after their bans.

The men from Maryhill made it clear that nobody from Hampden's sixth floor would be welcome following their relegation row last summer which ended up in a bitter legal battle.

The Jags were relegated from the Championship on a points-per-game basis, going down with just 0.04 points between them and Queen of the South.

Thistle roared back by winning the League One title and after the victory manager Ian McCall revealed that no-one from the two governing bodies would be allowed in the stadium.

And the club stuck to their word as the players and staff celebrated, with a small number of fans gathered outside the stadium to watch Ross Docherty lift the trophy.

McCall had said: "The club and me were in complete agreement.

“Nobody from the SPFL or SFA will be allowed in the stadium. They're not allowed in the stadium, simple as that."
