Partially sighted Rangers fan gifted life-changing tech by club to help enjoy matches

A partially sighted Rangers fan has been gifted life-changing technology by the club to help him get more out of match day.

The OrCam’s MyEyePro analyses visual information like text and relays it back to the user in spoken words.

It can also recognise footballers faces.

Fans are able to book the device for stadium tours or matchdays.

But now the club has joined up with RNIB Scotland and OrCam to give away one of the devices to teenager Kyle Johnstone, 16, from Uddingston, Lanarkshire.

He won a competition where young fans were asked to tell why the technology would improve their lives.

Kyle said: “I didn’t think I’d ever win.”
