On Thursday night, the entire Parks and Recreation cast reunited on NBC for Feeding America, including some of the most important bit players from over the years (like Nick Offerman's real life wife, Megan Mullally, who was back as his evil ex-wife, Tammy 2).
The socially distant special was, unfortunately, a one-off, but it was also just what the world needs right now. Full of inside jokes, singalongs and appearances from fan favorites (I'm talking about Jean Ralphio) it was a treat for fans.
We're looking back at the most entertaining moments during the special, from the return of the Cones of Dunshire (can we play now?) to the homage to everyone's favorite mini horse, Li'l Sebastian.
Paul Rudd made his triumphant return as the oblivious Bobby Newport
Leslie Knope's political opponent opened up the show and seemingly had no idea what was happening, per usual. "Is something going on? I haven’t watched the news lately," he asked guilelessly. Per usual, Rudd did not look 51, although he certainly appeared a little less ageless than usual.
Ben Wyatt's Letters to Cleo shirt was back and better than ever
One of the best running gags during the series was Ben's board game, the Cones of Dunshire. While his wife Leslie laughed at him, it became quite popular - and Ben has obviously been using his time in self-quarantine to work on his game, as well as his failed claymation series, all while wearing his favorite Letters to Cleo shirt. Now, he just needs to go back to brainstorming the Low Cal Calzone Zone. It could pivot to delivery now.
Everyone still loves 'Li'l Sebastian
While Chris Pratt might have had the most impressive glow up since the show ended, becoming a Marvel superhero and marring a Schwarzenegger, he looked just like his old character, Andy Dwyer. Pratt also returned to his alter egos, Bert Macklin and children's TV star Johnny Karate. But his best moment was when he sang the iconic song '5,000 Candles in the Wind' to everyone's favorite mini horse. Long live Li'l Sebastian.
There wasn't a dry eye on the Zoom call, or in everyone's houses.
