One Parklife ticket-holder who was trying to sell off his tickets for a profit has been left red-faced by festival bosses.
The huge Heaton Park festival announced its lineup yesterday with pre-sale tickets going on sale this morning.
There was 'unprecedented demand' for this year's event, which will be headlined by Dave and Megan Thee Stallion, with tickets selling out in 78 minutes.
Thousands were left disappointed by the speed at which tickets vanished, and tomorrow's general sale will no longer go ahead.
But 112,000 lucky music fans did manage to snap up a pass to see some of the biggest names in music perform later this year.
One such person was even luckier than most, winning free tickets for Parklife despite already owning some.
Unfortunately, their plan to sell off their spare tickets for extra cash backfired massively.
The competition winner was publicly shamed for trying to sell off tickets for £350 each, almost £200 more than face value.
Other members of the public said the move was 'f***ing disgusting' and 'ridiculous'.
Parklife seemed to agree, posting 'Lol. Your tickets have just been cancelled pal.' to the person in question.
Someone responded on Twitter to call it 'Poetic justice, top stuff from @Parklifefest'.
Another wrote: "The 2nd hand embarrassment I have for my man is a joke."
Someone else commented: "Looooool the justice here is sweet sweet sweet"
One person on Twitter added: "Hardly Wolf of Wolf street, more like Donkey of Bishop Aukland, this was a really dumb strategy anyway"
