Parklife proposal couple eye up Bora Bora as festival boss offers to pay for honeymoon

A young couple who got engaged at Parklife are now eyeing up Bora Bora as a possible honeymoon destination after the festival boss offered to pay for the trip.

Indy Geraghty, 23, and Myles Goodfellow, 25, stunned 80,000 festival goers at Manchester's Heaton Park when they got engaged besides rapper Yung Filly on the mainstage on Saturday June 11.

But after the pair were subjected to online trolling over their happy news, festival boss, Sacha Lord, offered to pay for their honeymoon and gifted them lifelong festival tickets.

The couple from Galashiels, Scotland, spoke exclusively to the Mirror, as they revealed they are considering jetting to the luxurious and romantic island in French Polynesia, after they tie the knot.

Engineer 'Milo' said he had been thinking about proposing for over a year but didn't know how to, when cafe manager, Indy, surprised him with Parklife festival tickets.

He told the Mirror : "I only had about three weeks to prepare because she bought the tickets quite last minute.

"When she told me we were going to Parklife I thought 'this is my opportunity'.

"I contacted Yung Filly's management and told them what I wanted to do and they got back to me and said 'let's do it'.

"We both love Yung Filly, we have been following him for ages, we watch all his Youtube videos and we find him really funny."

After buying a ring and leaving it in his best mate Jordan's safe possession to get through the festival security, Milo had almost had everything ready and under wraps from Indy.

All he needed was to find a way of explaining how they were going to be allowed on stage, and came up with a plan to surprise Indy with a 'fake meet and greet' with Yung Filly.

Milo said: "I got my best mate Jordan to come up to us on the day and say that we had a meet and greet with Yung Filly as a surprise.

"I'd only had one beer so I was quite nervous stood in the crowd waiting to go up on stage."

After popping the question Indy said yes through tears of shock and pure joy and the couple became a viral sensation, with clips of the engagement sweeping social media.

Indy said: "It was amazing, it's a day I will never forget and a story we will be able to tell for life.

"I never ever expect him to propose in that way at all he’s not an out there kind of person so it was a massive shock! Completely out of my comfort zone but I wouldn’t change it for the world."

Speaking on the moment that Sacha Lord offered to pay for their honeymoon, Indy said: "I was so emotional when he called me I couldn’t believe it. It's such a nice thing to do.

"We have thought of a couple places including Bora Bora, as it's always been a dream place to go, so definitely one to consider."

Undeterred by the trolls, the couple are now looking forward to planning their wedding, adding they would love to tie the knot "in a castle".

Indy said: "I realised that it was a very very happy moment for me so regardless of the negativity I decided I wouldn’t let it effect me any more than it had!

"We have been looking at places, I want a castle or something like that would be amazing! But at the moment we are just still trying to find our feet!

Milo added: "I never thought the proposal would get this much reaction, it's been incredible."
