Parklife festival announces discounted tickets for Manchester residents

Manchester's massive Parklife festival will hold a special presale for local residents - with a discount on tickets.

The festival, which will return to Heaton Park this June, will be running an early bird sale tomorrow - Tuesday, January 21.

Anyone with a Manchester postcode will have access to the sale from 10am.

Weekend tickets in the exclusive sale will cost £119, making them the cheapest tickets available for this year's event.

This year's festival will take place on Saturday, June 13 and Sunday, June 14 at the huge park in north Manchester.

It will be the 10th anniversary for the music festival, which first took place in Platt Fields Park in Rusholme before out-growing it in 2012.

The line-up for this year's Parklife festival has yet to be revealed, though US rapper Tyler, The Creator has been confirmed as a headliner .

Previous headliners have included Liam Gallagher, George Ezra, The 1975, Frank Ocean, The Chemical Brothers, Snoop Dogg and Rita Ora.

Liam Gallagher has been confirmed for a Heaton Park gig on Friday, June 12, the night before the gates officially open for Parklife.

More than 160,000 music fans visit the festival over its two-day run.

To gain access to the presale, visit parklife.uk.com/manchesterticket and enter your postcode - this will bring up a discounted ticket link.
