Park paedo fears after 'sex creeps pester young girls in Glasgow'

Police have appealed for information after young girls were allegedly pestered for sex by two men in a Glasgow park.

Locals say the incident happened on Monday in Festival Park in the south of the city.

Police Scotland say they are aware of the reports and have called for anyone with information to come forward.

People describing the incident online said the girls, who were described as being in their early teens or younger, were approached at around 8.15pm and propositioned by the men.

The two sex creeps were allegedly chased from the park by another man, according to social media posts.

The park is popular with local youngsters and worried parents have voiced concerns about the alleged incident.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “Police are aware of reports circulating on social media of two men allegedly propositioning girls in Festival Park.

“We would urge anyone with information relating to this to contact police on 101 quoting incident number 3258 of Monday, 8 June.”
