Park and Ride waiting room trashed by motorbike vandals

This was the scene of devastation inside the waiting room at a Bristol park and ride yesterday, after vandals trashed it with a motorbike.

Staff and passengers arrived first thing on Tuesday morning at the Brislington Park and Ride to find everything inside the waiting trashed, and tyre marks all over the floor.

It appeared that whoever had got into the waiting room overnight had strewn the displays everywhere and done what appeared to be doughnuts with the back tyre of the motorbike or scrambler, on the carpets of the waiting room.

Passenger Matthew Daniels said he arrived at around 8.15am on Tuesday morning to discover the damage at the site, on the A4 Bath Road between Brislington and Keynsham.

“We arrived and found a council worker scanning through the debris - it looked like he’d only arrived recently before us,” he said.

“I can’t say when it occurred, but best guess is during the night,” he said, adding that he was ‘annoyed’ at the damage.we3

The park and ride facilities are managed by Bristol City Council, who began a clear up operation, and the police were contacted about the damage.
