Paris shootings: Video shows shoot-out between police and terrorists outside Bataclan concert hall

Footage has emerged of a shoot-out between French police and terrorists during the siege at Bataclan concert hall during Friday night's attacks in Paris.

In the video, police initially retreat amid a hail of gunfire from the venue. Sparks are seen flying as bullets ricochet off parked cars.

An officer can be seen ushering a civilian woman across the path of the gunfire towards safety on the other side of the road.

Police later reinforce their position and exchange gunfire with the terrorists.

The film was captured by photographer Patrick Zachmann and obtained by Paris Match.

Video from inside the Bataclan shows the moment gunmen began firing on the 1,500-strong crowd watching the Eagles of Death Metal concert.

Attackers held those present hostage for around three hours until armed police stormed the concert hall.

A total of 89 people were killed at the venue, making it the most deadly of a series of attacks across the French capital - which left at least 129 people dead and injured at least 180.

The attack came just 10 months after a gun attack on the satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo in Paris.
