Paris Saint-Germain give Kylian Mbappe injury update ahead of Man City fixture

Mauricio Pochettino has eased concerns that Kylian Mbappe could miss the first leg of Paris Saint-Germain's Champions League semi-final against Manchester City.

The French forward limped off in the 87th minute of PSG's 3-1 win over Metz on Saturday, sparking fears he could miss the match on Wednesday.

Mbappe has been a key figure for PSG in the Champions League, scoring eight times in this year's competition.

After a minor injury scare, Pochettino has assured that Mbappe is well-placed to start against City at the Parc des Princes.

“We think he’s okay and that he’ll be ready for Wednesday," Pochettino told Canal after the game. “We reviewed the action, we see the blow. We are not worried about him."

“We hope it’s not too serious,” Pochettino said, in another post-match interview. “Kylian was calm when he was replaced but even a simple knock is always painful.”
