Paris Jackson breaks silence in wake of explosive Leaving Neverland documentary

Paris Jackson has broken her silence in the wake of the Leaving Neverland documentary, slamming reports she fears the explosive sexual abuse allegations levelled against her father will affect her career.

Gay Star News reported the 20-year-old had voiced concerns after Wade Robson and James Safechuck claimed they were molested by Michael Jackson as children in the two-part documentary.

“I actually haven’t made any statements yet, especially regarding how it affects my work life,” she tweeted. “You guys are reaching a bit. At least this wasn’t a disgusting and attacking article though.”

She later told everyone to “chillax,” adding: “Y’all take my life more seriously than I do. Calm yo tittaaaaysss.”

In response to a fan who accused the media of publishing “lies and garbage” she replied: “If everyone reacted this way towards articles, they’d stop making lies and start writing actual news.”

US gossip site TMZ had previously reported that Paris had not seen the documentary while The Sun claimed she fears “the documentary is already scaring directors away because the abuse her father is accused of may put movie goers off her”.

Leaving Neverland aired in the UK on Channel 4 last night and left some viewers “heartbroken” at Robson and Safechucks’ claims they were abused by the singer at his Neverland ranch.

Michael’s fans gathered outside the Channel 4 headquarters in Horseferry Road, London, to protest his innocence ahead of the documentary airing, brandishing banners with Michael’s face covered by the word “innocent”.

Mark Lester, who was part of the singer’s inner circle for decades after they met as teenagers, said he was left ”sick” by the documentary which he claimed does not portray the Michael he and his children knew.

The Jackson Estate has denied the claims and denounced the film in a series of damning statements.

Michael’s brother Jermaine Jackson insisted his sibling was “1000 per cent” innocent and accused Robson of “spewing nonsense”.

Robson testified at a 2005 trial, saying he had slept in Michael’s room, but had never been molested by him. Safechuck also made similar statements.

Both men filed lawsuits in 2013 saying stress and trauma had forced them to face the truth and admit they were sexually abused.

Michael died in 2009.
