Paris Hilton says 'no one really knows who I am' and talks about childhood trauma in documentary trailer

Paris Hilton, the original reality star socialite, has opened up about what her childhood was really like and is planning on sharing more in the upcoming documentary about her life.

The trailer promises that fans will "meet the real Paris Hilton for the very first time" as she will "embark on a journey of healing and reflection, reclaiming her true identity along the way."

"I feel like the world thinks they know me," she says in a much deeper voice than usual, before her catchphrase "That's hot!" is heard repeatedly in the background. She goes on to say, "Sorry, I'm so used to playing a character that it's hard for me to be normal. No one really knows who I am."

The trailer also shows her spending time with her sister, Nicky Hilton, and DJing at an enormous music festival.

Paris goes on to say, "I don't even know who I am sometimes." She also opens up about childhood trauma, tearing up while saying, "Something happened in my childhood that I've never talked about with anyone."

She previously tweeted, "This is a survivor," alongside a picture of her from her younger years.

"I created this brand and this persona and this character and I've been stuck with her ever since," she says, while images from her prior party days flash, including a picture of her alongside her former best friend Kim Kardashian West.

The documentary is called This Is Paris and it's coming out on YouTube on September 14.
